During the opening game of the 2019 Indian Premier League season between the Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Friday at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Yash Dayal became the league’s first Impact Player.
Yash replaced Dinesh Karthik for the RCB during the second half of play.
Prior to. Royal Challengers chose to bat first and scored 173 runs on six wickets. After struggling at 78 for five in 12 overs, Dinesh and Anuj Rawat added 95 for the sixth wicket to lift the visitors to a competitive score.
Dayal made an immediate impression, getting rid of CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad in the fourth over to provide RCB with their first major victory. Ruturaj was forced to nick a wide delivery to Cameron Green at first slip by the 26-year-old bowler over the wicket.
